Wednesday Ride Night
Maps
1. There will be 1 "Official" ride each weekend. These start points are for the Official Rides only. Members are free to set up/suggest rides in additon to the Official Rides.
(We would not want to set up a ride that conflicts with the Official Ride under normal circumstances.)
The Start Points for additional rides will be wherever the organizer determines.
2. All "Official"
rides will start at 8:00 AM or LATER to give all members ample time to make
the start point.
EXCEPTION: Long distance rides, say going to Cassoday, may start earlier. (Their
breakfast ride WILL NOT be considered an "Official" ride )
3. There will be 3 "Official" start point locations.
South Location : South start point is the Convienence store next to Paddy O' Quigleys just west of the intersection at 470 and Wood Chapel Road. Contact EZ Slick or Twig for info
East Location :Shell Station I-70 & 7 HWY Blue Springs, Mo. Exit 20 from I-70, go south 1 block-on the east side of 7 Highway next to Mc Donalds. Contact Home Inspector for info
North Location : Quick Trip N Oak Trafficway & 152 Hwy (if this ride is heading North the start point will be accross the street from the QT. If going South the start point will be at the QT. This arrangement eliminates the need to cross traffic when leaving. The details of the ride will state which start point we will be leaving from. Or wherever you see the bikes parked) Contact Valerie or Gordito for additional info North Map
4. "Official Ride" will ROTATE in a COUNTER CLOCKWISE manner. Example: South, East, North, South, East, North,... for each weekend of the riding season except for those weekends where a national holiday falls such as Easter, Fathers/Mothers Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Independence day.
5. Events such as Branson MC Rally, Sturgis, vacations, work, rain, lack of participation, no one plans a ride....WILL NOT STOP the rotation.
EXCEPTION: Holidays, 4th of July, Labor Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving....WILL STOP THE ROTATION. These are open dates.
If RC's/RL's are not available, it will be up to YOU (ANY/ALL MEMBERS!!! ) to
step up and PLAN the ride.
You (ANY/ALL MEMBERS) are encouraged to plan some of these rides, and/or any
other "UNOFFICIAL RIDES".
Throw your suggestions for rides out there. PLEASE !!!!
6. "Official" start point WILL NOT determine destination. We may start at North Location and go south or Start at West Location and go east.
7. "Official Ride" ends upon arrival at specified destination that was determined at beginning of "Official Ride". The "Official Ride may be a round trip. Allow time for riders meeting before departure. Show up early. We will leave on time. You may be left behind if you are late and haven't notified anyone and asked that the departure time be extended. Be reasonable, show up and be gassed at least 15 minutes before departure for ride briefing.
8. "Official Ride" can be either Saturday or Sunday.
Be Gassed up and ready to roll
at the posted Departure time.
This is why we depart from Gas Stations whenever possible.

can be found on the Forum.
Details of all rides will be on the forum. Check there often.
This first set of instructions is for delphi plus members.
Instructions for Advanced members follow these.
Want to add a Sig Pic to your
messages on the forum?
Legal Disclaimer:
This does not come with a guarantee!
If you open a new browser window
while leaving this one open you can
flip back and forth between the two.
That may make it easier to follow along.
First
The picture that you want everyone to see MUST be on the internet.
Simply being on your computer won't work.
The image must be stored on a Internet site that
will let delphi
access the picture to add to each message.
I'm hearing that Webshots will not let this happen.
Imagestation.com will. Picturetrail.com will
If you are a paying member of delphi (delphi
plus membership, I believe) you get
web space on delphi to use, that works also.
So after placing your picture somewhere you have to know the URL to the pic.
delphi has really made it easy now to add a sig pic.
Now
Navigate to the picture and right click on it. "Copy" the picture.

DON'T go to a thumbnail and Copy it. It will
be too small.
Some albums show you a thumbnail first and you click on that to see the larger
picture.
You want the larger picture, not the thumbnail. So "Copy" the large picture.
Next
Note-the following instructions
are for
delphi plus members. Advanced members
have to paste code in the signature box.
Advanced member sig pic is after this.
Go the KC SCRC forum. Log in.
Toward the upper right corner is a link called My Forums.
Click on My Forums.
At this new screen on the left side scroll down
to where you see:
My Preferences
My Profile
Forum Preferences

Click on My Preferences
On this new screen scroll down to the section
that says "Message Board Preferences"
The second item down is "Personal Signature"
This works just like a word processor like "Word".
You can format what you
want your sig to look like, centered, font size and such.

Then
Underneath the box are 2 radio buttons. Make sure the
WYSIWYG button is clicked.
So start typing in what you want your sig. to say. Home phone or whatever.
Now when you get to the spot where you want your
picture to be simply place
your cursor in the spot, right click and paste the picture there that you copied
earlier.
Doing this will automatically place the correct URL in the code.
Keeping the pictures small helps the speed they load.
Remember
Large pics load slow, small = fast
Dial-up connections will appreciate the small file size.
If you left click on the picture in the signature
box small squares will
appear around the picture. This lets you resize the picture.
It DOES NOT resize the file.
IF your picture file size is too big it needs to be resized in a drawing program.
If you do not know how to do this send me the
picture and I will resize it and
return it to you.
Now
Scroll down to the bottom and click "Submit".
Your done.
(Unless I forgot something)

If you do not have, or want to set up, a place
to store your pic then you can
send the pic to me and I will store it at imagestation for you.
So after placing your picture somewhere you have to know the URL to the pic.
We will want the URL for the
larger picture, not the thumbnail.
So make sure you can find the large picture before doing the following steps.
Go log in to the KC SCRC Forum
Near the upper right hand corner click on "My
Forums"
That takes you to a new screen.
On the left near the bottom you will see this:

Click on "My Preferences"
That action takes you to this screen. Scroll down until you see this:

Make sure the "Contains HTML" box is checked.
The large box is where the code goes.
This is the code. Select and copy this code and paste it in the large box.
I know, it will show my picture not yours. We're gonna fix that next.
If you open a new browser window you can flip
between these
directions and the delphi forum where you are placing code.

Now you need to get the correct URL for your picture.
Navigate to your picture on the Internet
(the big one, not the thumbnail) and right click on it.
At the bottom of the menu click on "Properties"

Here is the window you will get after clicking on "Properties"

Select the Address:(URL)
drag your cursor over the http://www.kcscrc.com/Images/pictures%20of%
20members/Jan.jpg
Obviously yours will say something different. But you get the idea. Get the whole thing.
After you have highlighted the address right click on it and "Copy".
Go back to delphi. Where you pasted the code replace my URL with yours.
Select my URL ( http://people.delphiforums.com/sbirkes/Anim steve.gif)
and Delete it.
Now paste yours in there.
Make sure you didn't loose any " or < or other stuff.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Submit"
Go back to the forum and either start a new message or reply to an old one.
Now before you click "Post" to let the world see your picture do a "Preview".
That way if all isn't right you can keep it to yourself rather than advertise the mistake.
If all looks right then Post the message.
If it is wrong click "Revise" and then "Cancel" and
find the mistake.
If you have problems call me.
